Chana Kronfeld, Bernie H. Williams Professor of Comparative, Hebrew and Yiddish Literature at UC Berkeley is an award-winning author. Her books include On the Margins of Modernism: Decentering Literary Dynamics, a co-translation (with Chana Bloch z”l) of Yehuda Amichai’s Open, Closed, Open and of Hovering at a Low Altitude: The Collected Poetry of Dahlia Ravikovitch. Most recently, she’s published The Full Severity of Compassion: The Poetry of Yehuda Amichai, and co-edited and translated Benjamin Harshav’s Hebrew-Yiddish Collected Poems.
