I love, love, love the New Lehrhaus project – so wonderful, such a feeling of community. It came together so quickly – I’m very impressed.
The dialogue and occasional teasing between the two professors was delightful. Dr. Hendel’s placing the creation of the texts in historical / social settings added to the depth of the wisdom: real people confronting real human dilemmas.
A most excellent class [The Bible Now]… which has left my head spinning and returning to reread the texts.
This class [The Bible Now] was so worthwhile. Please have the instructors back for many more workshops. There’s so much more to learn about the Hebrew Bible
Mazal tov on a great inaugural lecture! . . . loved learning more about Rosenzweig. It was fascinating to hear that so many rabbis had reported that he was such an influential thinker for them – I am not alone in feeling that way! You articulated more of what you hope to achieve, all in relation to Rosenzweig and the original Lehrhaus. Beautiful all around.
I LOVE the [Cultural Memory: Ladino Music and poetry] class. Wow! What a fabulous and interesting presentation! Plus I love hearing the songs. So beautiful. Thank you so very much for teaching this!
… Thank you for what you’ve done for New Lehrhaus. I’m very grateful. Having this community resource is very meaningful (for me personally and, I know, for the whole community). I loved the first session I attended (“The Bible Now’) last week. Looking forward to more.
I love the texts you have chosen and the spectrum of viewpoints on this topic [Torah from the Bedroom]. I especially appreciate BOTH your male/female perspectives on these texts as well.
